The best life coach should be a good listener who can synthesize what she hears and then offer reflections that are sharper than any mirror. I found Valerie Albarda’s skills to be honed, her manner gracious and helpful, and her assistance life-changing. I heartily recommend her.
Let me start off by saying that I didn’t have many expectations having a personal life coach. Although I was very open to the idea of having one, I thought that I would just be talking with someone that would tell me what to do and give me tasks that he/she thought that would most benefit me based on their experiences. I’ll just say that was far from the case.
When Valerie became my coach, I was in a seemingly stagnant place in my life. There were several areas that I wanted to improve, mainly my career and personal relationships, but didn’t know what steps to take to get there. We first started out by identifying those areas and within a matter of weeks I was seeing the results that I wanted. She didn’t give me any lecturing or the tiring conversations that I somewhat expected, and, contrary to my belief, I was the one doing the most talking. At first it was uncomfortable telling someone all of my personal business, but I found that the more I put into my self-improvement, the more I got out. There were some very personal topics that I discussed in our sessions, some topics even my friends and family don’t know, and not one time did I feel like I was being judged.
We started having our sessions in early May and as early as the the end of the month I started seeing my results. After each session, I left the meeting with an average of three action steps, tasks that I should accomplish that would help me get closer to my ultimate goal in life. These steps were not assigned to me; they were more like the main topics from the session that I wanted to explore outside of the session. Valerie not only helped me focus in on things that were currently in my head and within reach, but things in my future that I didn’t even think were a possibility for me. Each of our sessions were roughly an hour long and at the end of each session I always left with a sense of accomplishment, not only feeling motivated after our hour long discussion but proud of knowing that I was working on a future plan for myself, a plan that, thanks to Valerie, is now within reach.
For anyone looking for a skilled, dependable, and honest life coach, I strongly recommend using Valerie for her services. She was beyond professional and even accommodated me when I was a bit late for our sessions.
My coaching sessions with Valerie have been an experience that I will never forget, and an experience that I do not take lightly. I feel honored to have Valerie provide coaching to me. She has helped me to stay on point with the things that are most important to me with my business. She has an innate ability to help you get to your inner abilities through self-examination.
Valerie Albarda has been my life coach for the last two months. Within that time, I have become more empowered and focused in my career development goals, as well as in my personal goals. Valerie doesn’t provide me with answers and solutions, but rather she assisted me with crafting my own action steps to help unlock the solutions that lay dormant inside of me. She serves as a guide on my journey of self-awareness and self-actualization.
